Community Involvement

We at Allied Waste are proud of the communities we serve and are committed to their continuing improvement.  We are members of the Clean Cities Coalition and use the alternative cleaner burning fuel B20 (biodeisel) to power our recycling trucks.

The mission of the Clean Cities Coalition is to advance the nation's economic, environmental, and energy security by supporting local decisions to adopt practices that contribute to the reduction of petroleum consumption. Clean Cities carries out this mission through a network of volunteer coalitions, which develop public/private partnerships to promote alternative fuels and vehicles, fuel blends, fuel economy, hybrid vehicles, and idle reduction.

In Idaho, we employ hundreds of your friends and neighbors and each year, BFI/Allied Waste Services and its subsidiaries put millions of dollars back into the local economy.  We believe that BFI/Allied Waste Services has a responsibility to the residents of Idaho and we do our best to support local events and charities.  In 2005, BFI/Allied Waste Services donated significant resources to local causes.

BFI/Allied Waste Services follows these guidelines when evaluating a request.  If your organization meets this criteria, please submit your written request to our Boise office.

Disposal Costs
Disposal costs may be waived or paid through the following methods:

If requesting organization or agent meets qualification criteria, BFI/Allied Waste Services will submit A Request to Waive Landfill Fees form to governmental agency with jurisdiction over service area.  If request is approved by governmental agency, governing body will pay landfill for disposal costs, based on size of container and type of waste.
