Eagle
BFI/Allied Waste Services strives to provide seamless trash and recycling services to Eagle residents.
Garbage Collection Guidelines
Residential solid waste service is voluntary in the City of Eagle.
Garbage is collected once a week. Residents may choose from several
options:
32-gallon wheeled cart provided by BFI/Allied Waste Services
Limited to 32-gallons of trash/week; unlimited recycling
If needed, residents may set out extra bags for collection by using prepaid stickers, which cost $1/each 1
64-gallon wheeled cart provided by BFI/Allied Waste Services
If needed, residents may set out extra bags for collection by using prepaid stickers, which cost $1/each 1
1 With the above limited service levels, all trash must fit within the BFI/Allied Waste Services wheeled cart, allowing the lid to close. Any additional bags/boxes or containers must each exhibit a pre-paid sticker. To purchase stickers, call BFI/Allied Waste Services at 345-1265. Pre-paid stickers will be mailed to your home address and the fee added to your quarterly bill. Or you may stop by BFI/Allied Waste Services’ office located at 11101 W. Executive Drive in Boise.
Unlimited trash with wheeled cart provided by BFI/Allied Waste Services
Includes option of one 32, 64 or 95 gallon BFI/Allied Waste Services wheeled cart; unlimited recycling
Additional containers or bags may be set out as necessary at no additional cost
Resident-provided cans
Unlimited trash, resident-provided cans; unlimited recycling
Additional containers or bags may be set out as necessary at no additional cost
In addition, the following considerations are specifically included in the new provision of service:
* For one week after Christmas, BFI/Allied Waste Services will provide unlimited service to each resident, regardless of service level.
* No matter what option you select, you will continue to have access to unlimited curbside recycling at no additional charge. Curbside recycling includes the collection of: newspaper; magazines and catalogs; mixed paper (including junk mail and cereal boxes); plastics with a #1, 2, or 3; tin and aluminum cans; and cardboard.
Use the
Right Container
All trash must be in containers or bags to
keep odors in and animals out. A
closed container will prevent tampering by pets, minimize odors, and block rainwater.
Trash cans with lids
Plastic garbage bags, tightly
closed
Please do not set trash out in paper grocery bags or cardboard boxes - these make a big mess if the bottoms fall out.
Limit Size
and Weight of Containers
For driver safety, resident-provided containers must be between 20 and 35 gallons and can be
no heavier than 60 pounds. BFI/Allied Waste Services provided wheeled carts are
available in 32, 64 or 95 gallons.
Collection Requirements
Trash and recycling must
be set out by 7:00 am.
All containers and recycling
bins must be removed from the curbside within 24 hours.
No
hazardous materials, fluorescent light tubes, paint
or vehicle batteries are collected curbside. See information
included in this website for proper disposal of household hazardous
materials.
Make sure drivers have safe
and convenient access to containers.
Do
not set trash containers close to obstructions such as mailboxes, fire
hydrants, parked cars, or utility poles.
Do not block sidewalks with
containers, cans or bags.
Do
not overload containers or pack them so tightly that trash are difficult to
remove.
Wheeled carts should be
placed at the curb line with lid hinges pointing away from the street.
Blue Bin Recycling Guidelines
Recycling is included in residential
solid waste service. Every household that signs up for service is provided
with a blue recycling bin. Recycling is collected by a separate truck on
the same day as garbage. The bin remains the property of
BFI/Allied Waste Services. To replace a broken or damaged
bin, call
BFI/Allied Waste Services at 345-1265.
